Harveys Legal Limited is a UK-incorporated legal services firm. We trade as Harveys Legal. Our office is in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Regulation by the Immigration Advice Authority
Harveys Legal is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), the UK government-designated regulator for immigration advice and services in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
Regulation under the IAA brings specific obligations on how we operate. These include scope-of-practice rules, complaints procedures, professional standards, continuing professional development for advisers, and oversight by the IAA itself.
The IAA replaced the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) as the statutory regulator. Where older references to OISC appear in third-party material, they refer to the same regulatory function now operated by the IAA.
Practising adviser
The practising immigration adviser at Harveys Legal is Mehmood Rajoka.
Mehmood is regulated under the IAA at Level 1. Level 1 authorises the provision of advice and services in relation to defined immigration matters, including but not limited to business immigration work, sponsor licence applications, sponsorship compliance, and Skilled Worker route support, within the published scope of Level 1 work.
- —Adviser name: Mehmood Rajoka
- —Country of practice: United Kingdom
Scope of advice and services
Harveys Legal provides advice and services to UK employers in relation to business immigration matters within our regulated scope.
We do not provide advice or services that fall outside Level 1 IAA scope without referring the matter to an appropriately authorised representative. We will tell you clearly if your matter falls outside our scope.
- —Sponsor licence applications and readiness reviews
- —Ongoing sponsorship compliance and SMS support
- —CoS allocation and assignment work
- —Mock audits and Home Office compliance visit preparation
- —Right to work compliance reviews
- —Skilled Worker route guidance and CoS preparation
- —Initial advice on related immigration questions affecting an employer's sponsored workforce
What we do not do
We do not handle matters that fall outside our regulated scope. This includes (without being a complete list):
- —Personal immigration applications unrelated to employer sponsorship (e.g. family visas, settlement)
- —Asylum or protection-based immigration applications
- —Appeals or judicial review work beyond Level 1 scope
- —General legal advice unrelated to UK immigration
- —Advice on the law of another country, including its immigration system
Outcomes and decisions
Harveys Legal supports immigration applications, sponsor compliance preparation, and related legal processes. Final decisions on any immigration application, compliance action, or regulatory matter remain with the Home Office, the Immigration Advice Authority, or the relevant decision-maker — not with Harveys Legal.
We do not market 'guaranteed' visa outcomes, 'certain' approval, or 'no risk' applications. Any third-party representation suggesting we have offered such guarantees is incorrect and should be reported to us directly.
How to verify our regulation status
You can independently verify Harveys Legal's regulation status and Mehmood Rajoka's adviser status on the public Immigration Advice Authority register.
We recommend you do this before instructing any UK immigration adviser — for us or for anyone else. Regulation status is publicly searchable and free to check.
- —Visit the IAA register on the official Immigration Advice Authority website
- —Search by firm name (Harveys Legal) or firm number (F202537009)
- —Confirm the regulation status and scope as shown on the register
- —If anything on the register conflicts with statements made on this website, the register is authoritative
Professional indemnity and accountability
Harveys Legal maintains professional indemnity insurance appropriate to the work we carry out. Details of our insurance arrangements are available on request.
If you believe we have made an error, you can raise this through our complaints procedure. The Immigration Advice Authority has its own complaints route which sits above firm-level complaints — both are available to you.
